Points of Reference / Interest:
Playa Popular: This is one of the most well known beaches, together with Bristol, and is located to the south of the Punta Iglesia.
Casino Central: This building, together with the building of the Hotel Provincial, is a symbol of Mar del Plata. The casino was designed by the Architect Bustillo Alejandro and its construction took two years, from 1938 to 1940. After the construction of the Casino Central was completed, it was expected to bring entertainment oriented tourism to Mar del Plata.
La Nueva Rambla: This boulevard replaced the previous Rambla Bristol and is currently a traditional stroll demonstrating the excellence of the City of Mar del Plata. The Nueva Rambla was inaugurated in the year 1941 and is the connection between the Casino Central, the Hotel Provincial, and Bristol Beach. The Nueva Rambla has a wide esplanade of 900 m, in the middle of which you can see the city's popular motif, the two sea lions made by Fioravanti.
Hotel Provincial: This Hotel is the perfect complement to the Casino Central and the Nueva Rambla. It was also one of Bustillo Alejandro's projects and was constructed between the years of 1938 and 1950. Currently this majestic hotel is closed, and has been since 1998, due to problems between the Province and the hotels concessionaire. The Hotel Provincial has a great capacity with more than 500 rooms, and its dining room has space for around 2.500 guest. The Hotel Provinical has its own Casino, a theater, bank, mechanical shop, and much more.
Playa Bristol: This is the Most Famous Beach in Mar del Plata located in the center of the city in front of the Casino Central, the Hotel Provincial and the Nueva Rambla. The beach is more than 1.500 meters long, and runs from Punta Iglesias to Punta Piedras.
Plaza Colon: This famous square completes the majestic center of Mar del Plata, and on its 4 hectares there are several important monuments such as:- Isabél la Católica

- Cristóbal Colón
Plaza del Milenio: This square was inaugurated in the year 2000, constructed after the demolition of an entire block of building in order to open up the view of the City Center. In this new square there is a 40 diameter fountain where water shows are held.
Peatonal San Martin (San Martin Walking Street): This popular walk starts by the coast line and ends on the diagonal street Puerredón with the "Feria de Artesanos" "Handcrafts Fair" and the areas two shopping malls. It is seven blocks long, and it was inaugurated as a walking street on the 10 of Dicember of 1980 and called "Paseo Comercial del Centro" (Commercial stroll of the Center).
